Service Technician – Heavy-Duty Road Construction Equipment

An authorized Texas dealer of construction equipment is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team. The company specializes in heavy-duty machinery for soil stabilization, road reclamation, asphalt paving, slip forming, concrete pumping, compaction, and pavement maintenance. The Service Technician will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of advanced road construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, service, and modifications.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide high-quality service.
  • Complete work efficiently and in compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of heavy construction equipment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitude.
    • Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics.
    • Proficient with hand and power tools.
    • Basic PC skills (MS Word, Excel).
  • Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs, stand/kneel for long periods, and work in confined spaces.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Other Details

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (8 a.m.–5 p.m.), with occasional overtime and voluntary weekend/holiday work.

  • Welding or pneumatic experience and industry experience are pluses.
